It helps enormously if you include your device model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when it went wrong. You can also send feedback from inside the app, under Settings → Send us your feedback, which attaches that information for you.
Common questions
Where are my videos stored?
On your device. Refined edits locally, so your projects live on your phone and are never uploaded to us. That also means we cannot recover them for you: if you delete the app or lose your phone, the projects go with it. Keep your own copies of footage that matters.
The AI edit did not run. What happened?
Refined tells you when the automatic edit fails, and offers a Try again button. If it keeps failing, the usual causes are a weak connection or an unusually long video. You can also re-run it any time from the Refine with AI button at the top of the editor.
Can I get my original recording back after editing?
Yes. Refined saves every take you record to your camera roll as you go, so the untouched original is always in Photos. You can turn this off in Settings → Recording.
How do I cancel or manage a subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they are managed in your Apple Account subscription settings, not in Refined. Cancelling stops future renewals and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple.
Does Refined work without an account?
Yes. Refined does not require you to sign up. You can install it and start editing immediately.
What does Refined send off my device?
The audio track, so it can be transcribed, and the transcript text, so the edit can be suggested. Your video itself never leaves your phone. The Privacy Policy names every service involved.
Privacy requests
To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email support@buildwithtori.com with "Privacy request" in the subject. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, which is very little.
